It's pretty solid and polished and I very much enjoyed a few runs. However, it gets very repetitive quickly and the progression between runs is negligible. Buying the DLCs will help but the pricing is too steep. Instead, the extra content should be part of the main game to make it bigger than just the bare minimum. I'd skip this game for the current value, but if you're a diehard card strategy fan it's certainly recommendable.

I wanted to like this - as the card building strategy genre is generally one I enjoy - but ultimately refunded due to time limit. Game feels bloated with keywords and tooltips don't always provide all the relevant info. Both the runs I played ended in ways that felt unfair, rather than due to decisions. My first I was attacked 5x before my first turn, dying from 70%. The second was less unfair, but it's just a boss hard counters one of the core mechanics but that means it's a bad mechanic.

I'm really trying to enjoy this game after reading the good reviews and giving it a shot. This game takes forever to progress though.. Fateshards are extremely difficult to get. I'm currently trying out different classes. The grinding just isn't rewarding, beat bosses, gain 5 fateshards, then you need 45-120 more to unlock a reward. The idea is great, the game is great, the rewards system just needs to be revised.
